Traveling with a sturdy and sustainable suitcase? This suitcase, made from recycled materials, is crafted from used PET bottles, old fishing nets, and ropes. Would you like to do your part for a sustainable world with this suitcase?
Plastic Soup Foundation & Waste Free Oceans
Sustainability at its best with this Atlantic suitcase. Virtually all parts of the suitcase are made from recycled materials, partly from old PET bottles and partly from old fishing nets and ropes. In collaboration with Waste Free Oceans, old fishing nets and ropes are collected in ports around the world before they end up in the oceans. We use these to make the components of the suitcases.
After thorough sorting and cleaning, the materials are ground into pellets. The pellets from the recycled PET bottles are used in the shell, the inner lining, and the zippers. The pellets from the plastic fishing nets and ropes are transformed into the handle, the housing of the trolley system, and the four wheels and handles.
In addition to Waste Free Oceans, we also work closely with the Plastic Soup Foundation. As one of their Golden Business Angels, we are collaborating, for example, on the Project Sungai Watch in Bali, to remove plastic from the river there. We are therefore very proud that they have lent their name to this Atlantic suitcase. To further support the Plastic Soup Foundation in their initiatives, we donate a percentage of the proceeds from every Atlantic suitcase sold to them.
The entire production process is sustainable
To ensure that the Atlantic suitcase is truly produced using fully sustainable materials, we had the entire process audited and certified by The Global Recycled Standard (GRS)
This means that the production of all Atlantic suitcases is made more transparent, and all partners involved meet our sustainability requirements.
Travel with your sustainable suitcase, complete with a TSA lock
Sustainable travel is important to you. Doesn’t that also apply to traveling as comfortably as possible? Fortunately, every detail has been considered in the design of the Atlantic suitcase. The suitcase is equipped with four 360° swivel wheels, so you can easily move in any direction.
Traveling for business with essential documents and your laptop? Then security is especially important. With the easy-to-set, built-in TSA lock, your luggage is safe from prying eyes. The durable suitcase with a TSA lock is recognizable by a TSA logo. This allows the suitcase to be opened with a special key during a customs check. Thanks to this built-in TSA lock, you don’t have to worry about your suitcase being forced open.
